Gearing Up For Winter: How About A Seven-Second Snowmobile? Yes, Please!

Gearing Up For Winter: How About A Seven-Second Snowmobile? Yes, Please!

Winter sucks, and I’m not looking forward to it’s arrival in a few short weeks. I don’t care if it does sound like bitching…I’ll own that with a smile. Cold, rainy, snowy, icy, slushy crap….that is exactly what I picture. Once Christmas has passed, I’m completely over that crap and looking forward to the first day of the year that I don’t need to wear an Arctic-rated coat, hat, gloves, and long underwear just to keep my jiggly bits from freezing off. (and yes, that mocking sound you hear in the background is Lohnes telling me to suck it up.) So what, then, does a warm-weather gearhead do in the winter besides spin wrenches in a warm shop and catch up on his DVR recordings? Well, there is ice racing, but then we got tipped off by Rick Tovey about the OSDRA…the Outlaw Sled Drag Racing Association. It’s everything you hoped for: snowmobiles that have the wick turned all the way up and then some hitting the quarter-mile. Seven seconds on two skis and a track? I will always hate the cold, but you can sign me up for that any day of the week! Check these monsters out!

No he doesnt. The motor is in front of a firewall per say. There is an oil containment under the motor
