Wait, What? Is GM Poised To Release A Trio Of 600+ Horsepower SUVs?!

(By Tom Lohnes) – So, the news is out that GM will be all-electric by 2035. Well, I guess these 14 years are going to be their last hurrah, because following the launch of the mental Cadillac Blackwing cars, they are considering dropping that same LT4 into the Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade.

Yes, there could be 600+-horsepower Soccer transport vehicles cruising around soon. The Tahoe, likely using some sort of RST name, will be the first real Performance SUV GM has made since the 2009 cancellation of the Trailblazer SS. Power numbers will be around 650, and a 10-speed auto will most likely be the only transmission option. AWD will be standard, of course. The Escalade will be far less focused on sport and dial itself back and become a legitimate rival to the Bentley Betayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The GMC will be taking a different route than the other two however. Most likely called the AT4-R, this big bad SUV will have long-travel suspension, a widebody kit, and knobby tires to combat the Ford Raptor R and Ram TRX. These SUVs have no reason at all to exist, but I’m glad they do.

Starting at around $70,000, the Tahoe “Super-RST” will be the cheapest of the 3. The AT4-R will be about $80,000, and the “Escalade V” will be by far the most expensive, starting at a massive $130,000.

  1. Help Me With My Essay

The new GM T1XX stage SUVs—Chevrolet Tahoe/Rural, GMC Yukon/Yukon XL, Cadillac Escalade/Escalade ESV—are overall quite sweet. Accentuation on enormous. The fact is, these new three-column uber yachts from the General are acceptable, strong trucks. Despite the fact that they could utilize more force.
