Holley EFI Factory Super Car Purse and Contingencies Announced – Go Fast And Get Paid

Holley EFI Factory Super Car Purse and Contingencies Announced – Go Fast And Get Paid

One of the most exciting classes in sportsman drag racing for 2016 has been the Holley EFI Factory Super Car category in NMCA competition. The best COPOs and Cobra Jets have been going at it on a heads up basis and the results have been fantastic. With guys like Glenn Pushis ripping hole shots to the final round in Bradenton and Kevin Skinner making the quickest Cobra Jet pass of all time in Factory Super Car form at 8.321/163 you literally never know what it going to happen next in this class. Well, a good thing has gotten better because the NMCA and Holley have announced the payouts for the category and they are really good and really collaborative as well.

The winning car will be paid $1,500 by Holley/NMCA for their efforts. Additionally, the manufacturers will pay their respective winning car $1,000 as well. Additionally, NMCA contingencies pay some $300 per product. So you have $2,500 in your pocket before a lick of contingency is paid and it will spiral up from there. There’s good money and as we mentioned above, this is one heck of a show.

The only thing that could make this class better in the immediate future? The addition of some Drag Packs! The Dodges have not been present at the first two events but with the reality being that there are only a handful of the supercharged drag pack Challengers that have made it out onto the track yet it is understandable. We bet they start showing within a couple of weeks. So far the Fords have one win and the Chevrolets have one win. The season long battle will be killer.

NMCA Announces Purse & Contingency Programs for Holley EFI Factory Super Cars Class

Holley is proud to announce the NMCA’s purse and contingency programs for the Holley EFI Factory Super Cars class. Race teams will receive contingency payouts from participating aftermarket manufacturers as well as from the automotive manufacturer of their race car. The new factory contingency program is in addition to the NMCA Pro Contingency program, which includes NMCA trophies and payouts as part of the Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle.

The Factory Super Cars class is a heads-up class for 2008 and newer COPO, Cobra Jet, and Drag Pak factory cars. This new class will be battling it out at all six 2016 NMCA events with a points champion to be crowned at the 2016 NMCA Awards Ceremony.

“We are thrilled to have all three manufacturers participating in this new factory contingency program. All of our racers should be proud to have Jesse Kershaw of Ford, Curt Collins of Chevrolet, and Dale Aldo of Mopar supporting this new class sponsored by Holley EFI,” said Rollie Miller, the NMCA’s General Manager. Robin Lawrence, Holley’s Director of EFI Business Development, also added “We are proud to be able to support such an exciting class of heads-up racing. We already have deep ties with many of the NMCA Factory Super Car teams from NHRA Stock Eliminator, so it was a natural evolution for us to support the class, especially with so many cars in it already using Holley EFI.”

Factory Vehicle Contingency payouts from Ford, Chevrolet & Mopar per event:

Factory Super Cars will compete at all six 2016 NMCA events:

March 10-13: The 14th Annual Ross Racing Pistons NMCA Muscle Car Mayhem race is in the books. Fittingly, the finals featured two Holley EFI-powered cars as Bruno Massel’s 2015 COPO Camaro took down Glenn Pushis’ 2014 COPO Camaro. Both cars utilized the 350 cubic inch/2.9L supercharger combination.

April 7-10: 8th Annual NMCA/NMRA All-Star Nationals presented by Miller Welders, Atlanta Dragway, Commerce, Georgia

May 12-15: 15th Annual NMCA Quickfuel Bluegrass Nationals, Beech Bend Raceway, Bowling Green, KY
