Holley EFI Outlaw Street Car Reunion VI: Round One Of Qualifications, Part 1

Let the wind blow for what it’s worth. The skies are clear and the track is wide-open at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, and it’s time for the Holley EFI Outlaw Street Car Reunion VI race to get a move-on! Tyler Crossnoe and crew are busting their hides and the racers are flocking in to take part in what has been a fantastic show for the last few years. Twenty-four Pro Mods, twenty Radial Vs. The World contestants, thirty Limited Drag Radial racers and many more made their first qualifying runs Thursday afternoon and evening, taking swipes at Beech Bend’s new surface and trying out their luck. Tommy Franklin’s 1969 Camaro Pro Mod set the bar with a [email protected] MPH blast, with the current bump being held by Stephan Stringer’s Camaro, with a 3.82@191 MPH. Neil Hawkins’ 2002 Mustang is holding the top spot in Limited Drag Radial with a [email protected] MPH, and Virginia’s Andy Manson is in hot pursuit in his 1996 Mustang. Joel Greathouse’s 1987 Mustang has Ultra Street’s top spot so far with a [email protected] MPH lap, and in Radial Vs. The World it’s Jack Greene’s 1968 Firebird holding down the top spot with a 3.738@198 MPH, with DeWayne Mills’ Camaro breathing down his neck with a [email protected] MPH second place.
