We’re 100% sure you know this car and we’re 100% sure that if you don’t you think the guy has smoked the motor in it. We 100% sure that if you think that, your skull may explode when you see what is actually happening here. The famous/infamous AWD Hurst/Olds is literally chained to an immovable object and it is destroying all four tires at once in the driveway. Why? Because it can…that’s why.
If you are honestly unfamiliar with this car, we’ll get you up to speed. It is a Hurst/Olds of the G-body variety and it is powered by a Lingenfelter Performance Engineering built LS2 engine that also has a ProCharger strapped to it. The AWD system uses GM pieces along with axles from Moser and the fuel system is braced up with Aeromotive pieces, there’s a built to the hilt 4L80E transmission, and a host of other parts that are listed at the end of the video. Bottom line is that this car is freaking awesome and we love the showmanship exhibited in this video. The opening shot of the car taking the slack out of the chain, the multiple angles of the tire destruction. This is amazing stuff and the burnout is not hours long but it is completely and utterly furious. Consider that he is wiping all FOUR tires clean at the time time. MIND BLOWN.
Bravo, dude. This video is 100% BangShift approved and virtually guaranteed to be on our top 10 at the end of the year!
This reminds me of the Hurst Hairy Oldsmobile of the 1960s!
But this time its streetable and not an exhibition drag car – pity about the LS though!
Still its nice to see Hurst continuing producing madness!
Guess the 307 would be better? Lol
First the Dart, now this. You guys are on a hell of a roll!
I’ve been wondering – did they use off the shelf Bravada parts to make it all wheel drive? As the Bravada is related the the G-body chassis somewhat…
I was wondering the same thing Matt. I’m really feeling the AWD muscle thing lately. That Chevelle in France made me drool.
That’s just cool. I want one.
Love the neighborhood!!
First I’ve heard of it. Might be worth a more in depth article on how they made it AWD.
Always liked those 80s Hurst Olds, but this one is BAD ASS! Am I going to forced to go to fakebook to learn more about it? Looks awesome, sounds even better!!! I want one! Hopefuly it still has the Lightning rod shifter set up.
What chassis was used for this olds???
