The 2020 season will be chock full of really awesome action from the sportsman to the professional ranks and it’s finally time to start to dive into the storylines that are developing ahead of it. On this first episode of the NHRA Insider Podcast for 2020 I had Tony Pedregon and Blake Alexander on the show as guests. Tony and I talk about the weird pre-season testing scenario that has developed in both Las Vegas and Phoenix, the rumors that have been swirling around some of the teams in Indianapolis, and who he thinks can be a factor among the new and returning names to the sport in 2020.

Blake Alexander is an interesting guest as he was his own team owner in 2019 and it was a season that carried new challenges for the young Alexander. Between the struggles to get the new operation off the ground, some of the challenges on the race track, and some of the challenges he never saw coming, Alexander candidly talks about what he learned and what he took away from that season. 2020 sees Alexander teamed up with Jim Head as the driver of his car and the two are set to make a formidable combo with Alexander bringing sponsorship and Head bringing his typically aggressive tuning style.
