A Look Back: This Video Captures Thrills, Spills, and Big Runs During The 2017 Drag Racing Season In New England

This is the time of the year when we start to see a lot of cool retrospective videos hit the web. Talented shooters and editors comb their footage for the best of the best over the course of the year. In this case we have a look back at thrills, spills, and big runs during the 2017 drag racing season in New England. The footage all comes from races at New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire and Lebanon Valley Dragway in West Lebanon, New York. It also concentrates mostly on the x275 scene that has been growing by leaps and bounds in the region as well.

I personally dig this look back because I get to see all the stuff I missed at my home track in Epping and at the track where I first held a microphone in New York. X275 wasn’t even a thing at that point and when I first got going it was a rarity to see anything truly fast on a set of drag radials. My how the world has changed in those years!

There are a load of cool cars showcased here and a load of great drivers judging by some of the runs you will see. The 2018 season is already shaping up to be a good one in the region and I’ll keep relying on Mikel Visual to get my “news” from these tracks as I bounce around like a rubber ball to facilities across the country.

As a tried and true New England guy and as someone who loves the competition in my home region, this video makes me smile. As a drag racing fan it makes me chomp at the bit to get back out to the race track as soon as possible!
