(Words and photos by Joe Grippo) – A couple of weeks back, the ever intrepid Joe Grippo snuck back into Maple Grove Raceway and hung out for the weekend at the NHRA Division One Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event and blasted a ton of awesome photos featuring some of the coolest sportsman drag racing cars in the country. The Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events are a great time and a true treat for hardcore drag racing fans who get to see everything from stockers all the way up to 275mph blown alcohol and injected nitro burning dragsters along with alcohol funny cars, top dragster/top sportsman, super stock, and more. This is especially true for Division One fans because they get to see the best racers in the country. Being a Division One guy myself, I am contractually obligated to brag on the racers that populate my home area. Facts are facts, people.
