Video: Masters Of Motors 2018 PRI Edition – Judging The Coolest Engines At The Hardest Core Performance Show In The Wold

It’s back! Below we have the Masters of Motors 2018 PRI edition video for you to enjoy. If you checked out the 2018 SEMA show Masters of Motors competition, you know that JE Pistons stepped up to create the first award at both PRI and SEMA that honors the engines of the shows. This is contest of judging engines in multiple categories like drag race, circle track, naturally aspirated, boosted, nitrous, and on and on. The video lays out the classes and shows you the mechanical greatness that we saw.

The judges at PRI were me, David Freiburger, Mike Kojima, and Jeff Smith. This is a tough thing because as SEMA is a great show with loads of cool things to look at, PRI is a racer’s show that is packed with way more serious engineering on many levels. The ultimate prize is the “Engine-uity” award, which is an 80lb hunk of billet aluminum designed and machined by the people at JE Pistons.

There were MULTIPLE custom, scratch built engines to judge, 2,000hp four cylinders, a V-twin that’s naturally aspirated and makes 1,000hp, ProCharged and nitrous injected diesels, one-off drag racing pieces, and the list goes on and on and on.

The video shows many of the awesome finalists as well as our debate on choosing category winners as well as the overall Engine-uity award. If you love engines, you’ll love this!
