Meltdown Drags Coverage: Our Romp Through the Byron Pits And The Action On The Strip Continues

Meltdown Drags Coverage: Our Romp Through the Byron Pits And The Action On The Strip Continues

(Photos by Greg and Jason Rourke) – When we tell you that we’re just getting going with 2015 Meltdown Drags coverage, we are not kidding. Greg and Jason have pumped some 1,000+ photos into our vault and we’re going to share them all with you here. Ok, not all at once but you know what we mean. We have been telling you about the Meltdown Drags and how it is a small group of guys who put the whole thing on each year, working ever harder to make sure the event stays healthy and happy. The fact is that their hard work has resulted in one of the great destination nostalgia races in the country and both Greg and Jason will personally attest to it.

How good is the gasser above?! The answer of course is VERY GOOD but you already knew that. This car is one of hundreds that populated Byron Dragway all weekend. The track was expecting some 20,000 people over the span of the event and we’re hoping they got them and maybe more. Anything that helps to keep a historic track like Byron happy and vibrant is good for the sport and this event is clearly that.

This looks like one heck of a fun crowd.
