New NHRA Pro Mod Show Debuts On Velocity Channel This Sunday – 1:30 PM Eastern Standard Time

If there is one group of racers in the NHRA that could fill a weekly television show with entertaining racing, entertaining interviews, and just plain fun it is the racers of the NHRA Pro Mod series. The good news is that they’ll have their chance starting this Sunday with the debut of the television series that covers pro mod and ONLY pro mod. Each race that they have competed at has been covered by their own film crew and I can personally guarantee that this is drag racing television that’s different than the norm. How? Oh you’ll see plenty of legitimate trash talking, emption, and awesome racing as well. As one of the guys who did top end interviews with the racers for the show I can tell you that there’s laughs, screaming, tantrums, and raw emotion like you normally don’t see anymore.

Through the course of the season you’ll see how the points battles unfolded, who wrecked, blew up, and who rose above it all to hold the number one spot at the end of the year. The exciting thing is that the season for the Pro Mods is due to end at Las Vegas in a couple of weeks and the fight for that number one spot is coming right down to the wire. Rickie Smith, Troy Coughlin, and Mike Janis are all in contention and will be racing their brains out in Vegas for the season’s big finish.

This isn’t a deal with a bunch of trumped up drama. This isn’t a reality show masquerading as a drag racing show. This is racing as you want to see it. Raw and emotional. The knock on professional drivers is often that they don’t seem to care enough. I was nearly dodging punches a couple times during 2014 at the top end so I can assure that isn’t the case with the Pro Mod men and women you’ll see on this show.
