There’s a right place and a wrong place to be this weekend. The right place is the NMCA Indy race. The wrong place is everywhere else. Seriously. We’re going to be there this weekend and you should be too. Why? There are a hundred reasons but the biggest? You’ll be able to see literal drag racing history made as the NMCA debuts its new Pro Stock class at this event. We’re talking 10,000 RPM, 400ci, gear jamming, naturally aspirated buzzsaws attacking the quarter mile and doing things that we can only guess about.
Along with those awesome cars the Pro Mod show will be crazy, the Factory Super Car class will continue to bring wheel standing action to fans from the starting line to about 150ft and the Radial Wars class will be primed to launch into their brand of 3-second eighth mile fury on some of the most hallowed grounds in the history of drag racing.
Lucas Oil Raceway is one of the coolest drag strips in the country. So much has happened there over the years and the book is still being written.
