Not A Slow Mod: This Twin Turbo 1951 Chevy Pro Mod Is Clean, Mean And Certified To 5.49

Ok, now THIS is awesome. You are looking at a twin turbo 1951 Chevy pro mod that carries a NHRA chassis certification that will allow it to run down to 5.49 seconds. The engine is a big wedge mill and it is all stuck under a flat hood, which makes this car so freaking awesome. There are so few of these 1951 Chevy bodied cars out there running around it is already unique but dare we say that this style of car with a blower coming through the hood or some big wonky aero hood scoop just don’t look all that great. With the proper flat hood, this car looks amazing.

Not only is the thing good looking, it has great pieces in it as well. The engine is a big block wedge style motor with Dart heads (presumably their bad ass billet pieces) a pair of big turbos tucked down low, FAST EFI, a Rossler transmission with a Pro Torque EV1 converter, and on and on and on. The chassis was done by Montana Brothers up in the Northeast and the car lives in Florida.

While we do not have any performance numbers in the ad, all of the stuff that’s here says to us that the car is certainly capable running in the 3s through the eight and either very, very low six second laps or possibly into the 5s if the tuneup was right.

What would we do with it? We’d take it no time racing. Why? This thing is completely bad ass and an unknown quantity. Get it sorted out quietly and then roll into some no time events and lay the smack down. After the jig was up it would be fun to run it as a pro mod or a quick eight style car. Neat, clean, and fast for sure. We’re in love.
