At 9:00AM Pacific Time on Saturday May 2nd, Hot Rod will post the registration link on their website and the electronic gold rush will take place again to fill the 350 open spots that the magazine has allotted for Drag Week 2015. Last year it took a grand total of eight minutes for the event to sell out and even at that, the event OVERSOLD by a couple dozen competitors. Ultimately we left Tulsa with the largest field in the history of the event and something tells us that we’ll see seeing a repeat of just that again this year. Something also tells us that they have refined the registration process to keep the numbers at least close to the 350 that they are stating so if you aren’t going to be home at 9am PACIFIC TIME on Saturday May 2nd, you are likely out of luck.

Now that being said, people sign up and drop out constantly between Saturday and race day which will start on Monday September 14th at Gateway Motorsports Park just outside of St. Louis, Missouri. Typically if you are able to get to the start of the event, you have a good chance of actually signing up the day of because people who are thrashing do not make it and other stuff happens. Yes it is a risk of going all the way to St Louis and not being able to get in but we’re reasonably sure that through this point in history everyone who has ever showed up hoping to get in at the last minute has. We’re not saying that will always be the case, but you have a shot even if you miss out on what will be a razor think window on Saturday.
