(Photos and words by Benoit Pigeon) – The 7th out of 8 PDRA events, Dragstock XI, saw a lot of action but the original race day was cancelled due to rain. First round of eliminations was moved and took place on Saturday evening in anticipation of possible strong bad weather. The remaining 3 rounds of Dragstock and the final race will be contended in October in Virginia when PDRA returns to VMP for the second edition of the year and promise to be the most intense event of the series yet with two finals for each category and all champs decided by the end.
Dragstock is always one of the most hotly anticipated races on the calender for fans of pro mod racing. All of the PDRA’s classes combined with cool gassers and other stuff made it a great lineup. Too bad mother nature decided to throw a wrench in the works and botch up the show. Benoit did a great job (as usual) with these photos and the place looked pretty jammed up with people despite the fact that the impending weather ultimately ended the event early.
