Miss Maverick: This Petrolicious Piece About A Street/Strip 1973 Maverick Is As Good As It Gets

We love the work that Petrolicious puts into their features on cars and people. We run many of them here because they are beautifully done, insightful, and they really are some of the best examples of automotive story telling on the internet today. The cars and the people are amazingly wide ranging. We have seen machines in Europe and around the world, exotics, classics, trucks, and the list goes on. We have not seen that many drag race cars so it was with wide eyes and a smile that we watched this feature called Miss Maverick.

Californian Tess Wood is the centerpiece of this feature, well she is and her killer little blown, nitrous injected small block powered Maverick are. Growing up with a geared dad got her hooked on cars and the Maverick became her obsession after she saw one leaving the starting line at the drags with the wheels up.

A love, an obsession, and a life with cars were born in that moment. Tess is chasing some stock block records with this car and its Vortech blown small block is tough stuff. The look of the car, the way it sits, the tire size, all of it is perfecto in our book.

This one is worth your time, give it a watch!
