This is one of those things that you immediately laugh at but the more time you actually spend studying the machine the more you appreciate all the work that went into it. This is not a couple of parts bolted to a stock riding lawn mower, it is 100% custom built machine from the chassis up. Yes, it has a production based body on it but other than that the thing is all the creation of the owner, who lives in Florida because where else would he live? Because the builder was planning on using this piece as an advertising promotion for his business we’re going to guess that he is in the small engine/equipment repair field. Ok, we’re going to HOPE that because if he was planning on advertising a pet store with it, the idea quickly loses some luster in our eyes. Anyway, he did a really nice job and the thing is loaded with good parts like a new Briggs and Stratton World Formula racing engine , Mickey Thompson Jr. dragster slicks, some sort of torque converter we have never heard of before, and even a miniature bug catcher coming up through the hood. This is creative stuff!
The tractor is as yet unfinished so you’ll need to handle some of that work once you get it home and talk your wife out of killing you. We bet that the little creation hauls the mail with its automatic transmission and all. The seller says that he drove it once and it seems like it scared the crap out of him, so that’s BangShift approved! This has been a project I only worked on in my spare time (which I do not have much of).
Since it has been a long term project and is complete the following still needs to be done or fixed;
Body work is very close to done but needs paint and clear coat
Exhaust needs to be reworked
Steering linkage needs to be reworked
Throttle needs tweaking.
Electrical needs to be installed including switches and lighting (I have all wiring)
Seat needs a mounting base built and then installed
All parts need to be re-polished.
I have driven it on a test run which reviled the steering issue and header/exhaust issue.
On the test run I did find this is ONE BAD PRO STREET MOWER!
I have over $5,000 in this project plus 100s of hours of work.
It was not built to race, only show, but I am sure it can be made race-able.
