Rebeldryver’s Garage: Rocky Mountain Race Week Prep Of Our 1965 Impala SS, Part 1, At Least The 6 Speed Is Already Done!

Scott is back at it with the 1965 Impala. He’s been doing a lot of cool things to it, but if you missed the T-56 Magnum installation or any other parts of this build you can click the link below to check them out. In this video, he’s getting the car ready to go for Rocky Mountain Race Week in a couple of months. Sounds like plenty of time, but something always bites you in the ass, so it’s good to get going now. Check out what is needed, even though the big stuff is done.

Video Description:

We are getting our 65 Impala SS back on the drag strip for the first time in 25 years!! We are also signed up for the longest Drag N Drive events out there. Rocky Mountain Race Week 2023, aka RMRW 2023. This event has two drive days that are 450 + miles! And, our Chevy has to get down the track without breaking or blowing up. The muscle car is powered by a BluePrint 400, American Powertrain T-56 Magnum 6 speed transmission with a McLeod RXT Street Twin clutch in between and their Hydramax hydraulic clutch kit. Our car isn’t near ready. It’s not NHRA legal, nor has the minimum to be RMRW legal. We have a lot to do!!
