Ride Along With Terry Rosberg As He Suffers A Wild Crash In HIs Willys Jet Car – Wow!

Ride Along With Terry Rosberg As He Suffers A Wild Crash In HIs Willys Jet Car – Wow!

No, that’s not the GoPro flipping over, that’s the car it is attached to! Veteran jet car driver Terry Rosberg was performing with his unique and cool Willys jet car at North Wilkesboro Dragway when during the deceleration phase of the run, things went very wrong and the car made strong contact with the guard wall and actually turned over a couple of times. We are certainly not sure what caused the car to get crossed up and ultimately flip but it was after Rosberg had crossed the finish line and deployed the parachute to slow him down.

We have seen social media posts made by Roserg’s wife that state he is a little sore with some bumps and bruises but otherwise he is OK. His car was a beautiful piece and we have no idea as to the extent of the damage to the cage and other aspects of the vehicle but we Terry shares what’s going on, we’ll share it with you.

While lots of supposed “hardcore” drag racing fans like to take pot shots at machines like jet dragsters, this is a vivid example of how fast and potentially dangerous these machines can be. Jet car racers are among the busiest in the sport of drag racing and we hope that Terry can get his car fixed as to not too badly hamper his bookings for the rest of the season. We are glad to hear that he is OK and wish him (and the car) a speedy recovery.

Big speed, whether it is derived through pistons of thrust carries its own risks. That’s something that everyone can appreciate after watching this video.

I have seen a zillion jet cars run. I really don’t like them. Anything that spins at 90,000 RPM give me the heeby jeeby’s .
