Awesome Video: Ride In A V8 Powered, Wheelstanding, 4-Speed Valiant In Argentina!

There are great reminders out there that let us know what cool really is. In drag racing, cool really is being the dude at your local strip with the unique car that’s capable of jerking the wheels off the ground, putting on an awesome show, and making the crowd go nuts. This video was made in Argentina and it features a car we have seen a little of in the past. This Valiant appears to have a 360 (or LA series Chrysler small block) in it and it definitely has a four speed stick. The driver pull a big wheelie on this run and while it may cost him a win light, you know he went back to the pits as an absolute hero.

The car goes by the name “El Africano” and while we do not know the origins of that or the driver we do know that it is freaking cool people name their cars down there like they do here. Listen, one of the things that came out of the No Prep and grudge explosion over the last few years was a propensity for people to give their cars cool names and these guys have a handle on it all the way down in Argentina. Too cool.

This is as fun a run as you can make in a drag car. The thing is wheels up, it lands weird, the guy is steering it like a mad man, the works.

We need more information on the Argentinian drag racing scene. Anyone got it?
