The action on the track has been wild and the reason is that the cars at this event are so freaking nuts. From top to bottom there is cool stuff. Power adders in every form you can imagine. From huge screw blowers to monster turbos, to multi-stage nitrous systems, centrifugal blowers you can chip logs with, and engines that could shame tug boats on displacement alone. The pits are where the hardcore gearheads hang out and unlike some of the more formal races you can get right up in the business of the teams and their stuff.
The one thing that puts the Jegs PSCA Street Car Super Nationals presented by Chris Alston’s Chassisworks apart from other drag races is that because it falls so late in the season guys will actually modify their stuff to compete at this race outside of what they normally do. Bigger turbos, more tire, more kits, MORE, MORE, MORE. That’s the thing that drag racers love and the thing that we love as well.
This is one hell of a show and these cars are the reason why.
Great shots! The candid pit pictures are cool.
No pics of Joe Barry jumping up and down on Larsons intake? That was hilarious.
