I have to credit Craig Fitzgerald for sharing this wagon on social media because without that we never would have seen this hunk of Nassau blue Olds perfection. Other than the fact that it is rare in an of itself to find an Olds Cutlass wagon of this era, the car you see before you has been cared for and made way more BangShifty by its present owner and seller. Now, Fitz would probably bust my chops for this story because he’s angry at the world but as luck would have it he’s in Cuba right now. Seriously, that is not a joke. Fitzgerald is literally in Cuba right now checking out the old cars and having a blast. Now let’s get back on topic!
The reason this car punches so many of our buttons is the fact that the guy removed the trim, is running those argent steel wheels with the Olds caps and this is a three on the tree car. Yes, a manual transmission wagon with a three on the tree…and that’s not all. The owner ditched the factory 350 which was likely equipped with a 2bbl and swapped in a nice 455 that wears the exhaust manifolds from a 442. We know it is not making HUGE power but this blue barge must really move out. Yeah, a four speed and a floor shifter would be cool but when people see this thing doing burnouts and employing all that Olds grunt down low, they’ll freak.
The interior looks great, the car came from California and does not have a spec of rust on it. This thing is freaking awesome. Dual exhaust, some nice gas adjustable shocks, the guy converted the front to disc brakes, etc. It is all here and we’re salivating. We’re done. Check out the photos below and then hit the link at the bottom. The CL ad has way more detail and way more photos.
