Ride Along In The Time Bomb LSR Camaro As It Runs 227.5MPH At The Arkansas Mile ECTA Meet – Top Speed Challenge Winner!

Mike and David Matyjasik are the guys behind the well known and long run Time Bomb LSR Camaro. Coming into 2018 they had captured the Hot Rod Magazine Top Speed Challenge twice and were shooting for a third at the recent ECTA Arkansas Mile meet in Blytheville. The guys made some major changes to the car over the years and most recently they plugged an LS engine into the car and added a pair of turbos to boost the thing. With 1,100hp on tap from the turbo combination, the guys were loaded for bear and ready to take on the competition in Blytheville.

Take them on they did! This run secured them the third Top Speed Challenge win of their career and as you will see, this is a good working car. They have done loads of aero study and work on the machine and they are making more speed with less horsepower than the people who are their direct competition. We dig this car because the boys have stuck with it for so many years and not abandoned old faithful for something more swoopy or modern. Some of you may loathe the fact that they got rid of the cool NASCAR Buick headed small block, but the name of the game is speed and if it has eight pistons and boost, we’re pretty sure it is bad ass.

Right?

They did an amazing job on such a crappy day…40° with 10-20 mph cross winds. Steve, CJ, Tonya and Keith did a great job organizing the first ECTA Blytheville event.

  2. I own that dirty girl

No, they are actually custom made using florescent light refractor panels melted over a camp stove. They\’re molded using a styrofoam sphere wrapped in aluminum foil and vacuum shrunk around the original headlight trim using a home made table out of peg board and several layers of plywood. They\’re secured with duck tape.
