Cool Video: Behind The Scenes At The Top End Post Finals At The NHRA Arizona Nationals

It has been really fun to see the increased content coming from the NHRA social media department. As new people have been added, their ability to see the sport with fresh eyes and a new vision have really brought us stuff that we’ve never seen before. From neat looks into the inner workings of a team on race day to stuff like you will see below, the “behind the scenes” footage from the top end of the track, it’s all fun and engaging for its own reasons.

The top end of the drag strip is kind of a circus at all times. From cars coming in and out, NHRA safety safari people putting out small fires, wrapping parachutes, sopping up oil, and generally keeping the wheels of progress moving, interviews for TV, racers pulling their gear off, and media capturing content, there’s a lot of moving parts.

This video captures the scene on Sunday afternoon at the Arizona Nationals. The race was great with blow out crowds all three days, competition that was literally record setting, and side by side runs that kept the fans on their feet from end to end. Aaron Stanfield, Robert Hight, and Mike Salinas captured victory in their respective classes and got to participate in the now traditional Korbel shower in the winner’s circle. It’s the stuff that happens away from the TV cameras captured here.

The hustle, the emotion, the relief, the happiness, and the celebration. The top end rules.

Clay Millican is a REAL sportsman. He loses a close race and is still out there smiling and congratulating the winning team.
