Watch Gary Courtier Suffer One Of The Most Intense And Raging Pro Mod Fires Of All Time

Gary Courtier has been racing pro modified cars in the New England for more than a decade. His machines have always been nitrous injected, they have always been Camaro bodied, and they have always been incredible looking. Courtier is in the constructions business, so previous entires have featured stuff like saw blades in the paint and awesome graphics pertaining to tools and building materials. His current car does not have those that type of theme, instead it is painted a wild shade of orange with flames and some green lettering for good measure. Again, the car is stunning. OK, sadly I should be talking in the past tense because as you will see in this video, Courtier’s car was destroyed in an incredible explosion and fire at Capitol Raceway in Maryland.

As you’ll see, Courtier’s car successfully completed a burnout, backs up, stages, and is really trucking along with there’s a notably BOOM as the car backfires through the top end of the engine and things get really, really bad. The car burns with an incredible intensity shooting fire what seems to be 15-20 feet into the air as Courtier leaps out of the driver’s door to safety. Since the power is still on and the car is still trying to run, pump fuel, and remain energized, you’ll see Courtier approach the car and as he does, it explodes, knocking him back, but only delaying his intent to shut the power switch off to stop things from getting worse….which may have been impossible at that point.

We’re just glad to report that Courtier is OK and (apparently) unharmed. The car is burned to a level few Pro Mods ever have been.
