Watch An LS Powered BMW Equipped With Trick Flow Heads And Other Speed Parts Bust 150 At The Ohio Mile

While the “LS in everything” movement can get tiresome at times and people get annoyed by some of the swaps, we’re pretty sure few people will argue with the idea of jamming an LS engine into a BMW. Listen, the BMW chassis is well sorted and great to start with and the LS barely outweighs the inline six that would have been powering the car in the video. Add in the wide body kit to muscle the whole thing up, beef the LS motor and you can have a car that is great in the corners and has all kinds of horsepower for straight line acceleration. The project car featured in this video runs over 150mph in the standing mile which takes some real suds to accomplish, and later on this car will be autocrossed and used in other types of motorsports as well. To us, the modern hot rod is one that can do a bunch of different stuff, especially get you down the road with minimal sacrifice.

The guys at Summit have been involved with this project, along with Smokey’s Dyno and Performance and they’re over the moon at the results so far. The Trick Flow headed LS engine makes all the power they need, the car looks tough as nails, and you’ll agree from this video that the thing sounds damned good. While even we sometimes get annoyed with LS swaps, every BMW ever made can get one and we’d not cry about it.

COME ON MAN…REALLY I wouldn’t be bragging about anything with a modified LS motor that only ran 153mph.. Hell fire, we’ve been 142mph at Wilmington and Maxton with a naturally aspirated 1914cc (117ci) VW Karmann Ghia,
