Watch NHRA Pro Mod Racer Chad Green Suffer A Nasty Wreck At Gainesville

The NHRA E3 Pro Mod series kicked of as it has since the year 2000 at Gainesville Raceway in Florida. The action was incredible with nearly three dozen entries vying for a qualifying spot in the 16-car field. Chad Green was one of those racers. Bring crew chiefed by Pat Musi and also getting a hand from Mean Dean Marinis in the pits, Green made an auspicious debut, both qualifying and going rounds. Unfortunately for him the weekend did not end with a Wally but rather a Corvette with a smashed in face from a high speed encounter with the wall.

As you will see in the vide below, Green’s Corvette left the starting line and went into tire shake. When the car shifted into second gear the tire shake went hypersonic and Green was nothing but a passenger as his car rocketed across the centerline and then connected with the wall. Green was OK but the car was damaged pretty badly. Thankfully Green has a new car and it’ll also be sporting big Musi nitrous engine power.

The E3 Pro Mod series has a 12 race schedule in 2018 and they’ll pick it up again in Houston, Texas at the NHRA event on the freshly re-surfaced strip at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown. This one is going to be a barn burner and Chad Green will be there, despite the fact that hammered the wall in Gainesville.
