Massive Power: Watch The Murder Nova Make 3,700+ HP On A Hub Dyno!

There was a time a few years back that the most famous cars in America were owned by a couple of street racers from Oklahoma who became famous beyond their wildest dreams. Shawn and Chief, Chief and Shawn. It was the Murder Nova and The Crow. They were the centerpieces of the original Street Outlaws television series and with that came notoriety that no one could have envisioned. We fast forward to 2020 and the modern version of Shawn’s Murder Nova is insane. This car is built to compete in no-prep races at the highest level that form of competition can offer and it’s built to win big money.

The car has been through a versions in its life and this one is the most serious by far. You are about to see this beast make some 3,700hp on a hub dyno. That is brutal and that’s mega-horsepower. The producer of the grunt is a big block Chevy style engine with a pair of turbochargers. This thing drinks methanol like it’s got nothing left to live for.

The transition from the street to the track is one that most of the original Street Outlaws stars have made as the No Prep Kings series has evolved the game of their competition. The tracks bring big crowds and a measure of safety that you cannot get on a street, no matter how well setup and monitored it is.

This car is freaking bad ass and while you may not like the show, you have to respect the power!

Last I heard the car was actually running a 482 ci Proline ā€œsmall blockā€. Not sure if that is still the case as I donā€™t follow them.

I believe this is the original car. The new car has the ā€œsmallā€ block.
