Watch This Blown Small Block Drag Tudor Spin Across The Track As A Classic Pickup Nearly T-Bones It!

Watch This Blown Small Block Drag Tudor Spin Across The Track As A Classic Pickup Nearly T-Bones It!

When our thoughts turn to no-prep drag racing we immediately envision S-10 trucks. Fox-bodied Mustangs, and other typical body styles preferred by those in that genre of drag racing. That’s one of the reasons that the video below is so interesting because we have a classic and very healthy Chevy truck taking on a 1926 Ford Tudor sedan. That Ford is chopped, definitely rolling on a custom chasssis, and it is powered by blown and nitrous injected small block that makes BIG boy power.

This video was taken by Urban Hillbilly Action Videos at a no-prep race at Thunder Valley Dragway in Noble, Oklahoma. With the car and the truck heading down the track, the Tudor breaks loose and decides that the other lane is the more appealing one on the strip. As the car slides and yaws, ultimately spinning into the lane of the competition, the driver of the hard charging truck had an immediate and appropriate response. He got on the brakes and made a lane change of his down to avoid t-boning the coupe which would have been a disaster of epic proportions.

No prep racing is really cool and it is an exciting and growing part of the sport. It can also be a handful but so can’t every other form of straight line competition as well. Seeing unique iron like the truck and the old Ford featured in this video is great for this end of the sport and it certainly keeps the show interesting and we don’t mean because he crashed. There’s value in diversity of looks and combos, right? At least some of us still feel that way!
