Aussie top fuel motorcycle rider Chris Matheson has been at the big boy motorcycle game for a while and like all guys who have made a career of it, he’s had his fair share of bumps, bruises, and scary moments. This one takes the cake, though. At a recent event on the strip at Hidden Valley Dragway in Darwin (seriously) Australia, Matheson received a massive electric shock after his bike’s engine violently expired. We’re wondering if the mag was sending all of its juice through the frame and that is how all the current got to the handle bars, but somehow it got there and Matheson had no choice but to let go at speed! The big rider was nearly blown right off the bike by the wind and thankfully had the presence of mind to reach down and kill the power, allowing him to grip the bars and guide the thing to a stop. We have read that he was taken to the hospital for observation and released. All nitro motorcycle riders need to spend time in the hospital for “observation” especially after something like this!
