We’ve All Done It: This Video Of A Drag Car Being Backyard Tested Is Funny – Note Shifter Position

Everyone who has ever had a project car has at one time wanted to see what it sounded like and acted like when it was running…long before the thing was done. Such is the case with the guys in this video who has just plugged their drivetrain into a funny car chassis and they were interested in seeing if everything worked. There were some interesting parts to their program, like the fact that the shifter had to be held and operated BY A GUY STANDING NEXT TO THE CAR. The location is awesome because good stuff always happens in backyards by the gas grill, right? That’s how Dale Armstrong used to do it we think.

We are totally not busting on these guys but rather laughing with them. The car does not co careening out of control or wrecking stuff but it is funny to watch the guy with he shifter try to keep himself and the unit from being dragged around by the racer. The gas burning big block Chevy engine sounds good through the zoom pipes and we 100% BangShift approve the last minute testing.

Now, since our backyard is bigger should we try this with a donut element added?
