Do They Come Cooler Than This: 1964 LeSabre Convertible With A Cool Engine, New Parts, and Just Enough Rash To Rule

Do They Come Cooler Than This: 1964 LeSabre Convertible With A Cool Engine, New Parts, and Just Enough Rash To Rule

This car is absolutely and utterly awesome. I am not a guy who normally even thinks about liking convertibles but the fact of the matter is that I am in love with this one. Holy smokes. What you have here is a 1964 Buick LeSabre convertible with a cool engine, new top, and immeasurably perfect level of patina. There is not hard rust on the thing, just some discoloration on various parts of the body.

The top has been swapped for a new one. The interior is restored, and the engine is great as well. Gone is the kind of weenie 300ci Nailhead that lived in the bay stock and in its place is a mighty 425ci Nailhead that makes 340hp and huge torque. The transmission has been swapped for a 700R4 and there is a Detroit locker in the rear axle.

For a guy who normally dislikes convertibles, I am within a breath of bidding on this thing. The crisp lines of early 1960s GM styling certainly appeal to me and the fact that this car has the weather beaten looks of age, packs a hairier Nailhead that it was shipped with, and won’t look like a torn circus tent going down the road has meet drooling.

There are many people in reader land that dislike the patina look and would love to see this thing repainted from tip to stern. I’ve got nothing bad to say about any of that but I can tell you that I enjoy when cars naturally show their age and present themselves as dignified examples of a bygone era.

This thing is going to keep me up at night. Hmmmmmmm…….

eBay: This 1964 Buick LeSabre convertible with a cool engine stole our hearts!

Hi guys, I’m a new member so I can’t start a new topic, so I decided to ask this question here. Hope that it’s ok.
I want to buy a car via https://incacar.com but I´m a bit worried about that, just if they are reliable. Is there someone who knows them, or bought a car from them? What do you think about that?
    Thanks for answers.

Never heard of a new member not being able to start a thread . While agree that you shouldn’t on the blog page , if you go to GENERAL DISCUSSION , just above the red topics bar that goes all the way across the page you should see the NEW TOPIC tab in the gray bar that goes all the way across the page . Hit that and then try it . Hope that helps .
