This 1970 AAR ‘Cuda Tribute Is A Roaring, Three-Carb’d, Small Block Fun Machine (Video)

We say this time and time again but one of the great things about the high performance aftermarket is that the companies making the parts are staffed by the same gasoline bleeding enthusiasts that are buying them. This video proves our point to a T as it features Holley R&D engineer Jeremy Stoermer and the 1970 AAR ‘Cuda tribute car that he built himself. Being that real AAR ‘Cudas cost more than kids do on the black market, Jeremy decided to find a solid car to start with, hunt down as many OEM parts as he could and then put the package together himself. We think that he did a spectacular job and nothing about this car looks out of place.

As you would expect, the triple carb’d small block is in the nose of the car and it has been touched up nicely with some Hooker headers and outside of that, this car is as Ma Mopar intended it to be in 1970 which was the only year that the AAR was built. While the ‘Cuda was an awesome looking Trans-AM race car they really never did perform to the level that they were expected to and that’s kind of why the Trans-Am program and the AAR model died a rather quick death.

Between the loud colors, the snarling side exit exhaust, and the three carbs, these cars were really cool and will be until the end of time. This one looks to have a manual valve body automatic in it as the in-car portion of the video shows Jeremy snicking it up through the gears. When he lays into the thing and all three carbs open up it really has a great attitude and growl to it. Check out the video below to see this yellow Mopar in action.
