(Photos by Joe Grippo) – So we have finally run down to the bottom of the well of great Joe Grippo photos from the 2017 Ford Carlisle Nationals. His photos have taken us on a trip through the history of Ford cars and trucks the likes of which we may not have ever displayed on BangShift before. From the burly trucks of the 1970s to the killer and iconic muscle cars of the 1960s and early 1970s. From Mustang IIs to the modern Ford GT we have had something for everyone in here and we’re going out strong with this one.
The blown Fairmont above is pretty freakin’ BangShifty, right? Also in here are “war bird” era Thunderbird race cars, drag machines that compete in the NMRA series, and straight axle gassers that harken back to what some consider drag racing’s greatest days. It is all Ford, it is all fun and it is all thanks to Joe Grippo.
