(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – Several clubs caravan or at least gather at this event in significant numbers. The Scroungers, Hilltoppers, Bourbon Street Cruisers, Bombers, and more bring their rides to town for everyone to enjoy. Many of these clubs are pretty tight-knit and regularly wrench on each other’s cars and support one another in many other ways. To me this is what a car club is all about and I’m glad to see this tradition is alive and well.
If you don’t dig the blue, 428-powered Bonneville with the Appleton spotlights….Then I really don’t know why you are looking at Bangshift.
Rarely do I get to see Mopar muscle dressed in Sassy Grass and Sublime at the same event. Both of these were quite nice examples wrapped in their respective green hues.
The dark red Pontiac Ventura was hiding down at the end of Main Street where the organizers had expanded the parking for this year. Complete with dog dish caps and a 4-speed this is one I’d take home with me. Sweet.
Check back for one more muscle-oriented gallery and then the burnout extravaganza. You don’t want to miss that.
