2018 RockFab Car Show Photos: This Even Brought Out KILLER Stuff For A First Year Gathering

(Photos by Benoit Pigeon) – Here’s the thing about SEMA. Most of the people there think that the whole world stops when the show starts. The reality is that they are wrong by a lot. Yes, it is a big deal but the reality is that the world does not stop turning and awesome events do not stop happening just because it is “SEMA week”. Take the inaugural RockFab car show that was held last weekend. Our man Benoit Pigeon blew in at the last minute and captured a load of awesome stuff. Like seriously awesome stuff.

From perfectly restored classic trucks to pro street Pontiacs, this one has a good smattering of many people’s life, hopes, and dreams. For a late season, first time event, these guys crushed it. Word about ow good this first time was will spread fast and when that happens, the thing will grow by leaps and bounds in a hurry.

So while SEMA is a massive deal, the world of the automotive enthusiast is so massive that the big show does not so much as upset the ship even a little.

I have lived in Roanoke for my entire life. (60 Years) We are in the Blue Ridge Mtns. of western VA. The car culture and hot rodding is alive and well around these hills. Hopefully with a late season get together this will grow and become even bigger for years to come.

Fantastic turnout. Glad the weather cooperated, and I was able to bring #NHONOR out. Yes, it is my first car – as my grandmother purchased it new in \’71. The engine and transmission came out of my mother\’s Pontiac after she passed from cancer in \’83. This is why the car is named #NHONOR.
