(Photos by Mike Brooks) – There are car shows and then there are CAR SHOWS, baby! The yearly mechanical orgy known as the Syracuse Nationals falls into the all-caps category of automotive exhibitions. The event has decades of history, multiple generations hot rodders have been able to drive their stuff to the show now, which is cool. My buddy Jon drove a tunnel ram, 4.88 geared hot rod to the event back in the 1970s from the depth of Massachusetts and the show still has that type of loyal following. They come form all over the USA and Canada to attend and it has only gotten better over the years.

We have heard that the local gentry don’t like people stepping too far out of line but they are low on hassles if you don’t act like a dummy. That’s a double edged sword, I suppose.
