2019 ALS Cruising For A Cure Gallery: Fantastic Fords From The Formidable Festival Of Fun

2019 ALS Cruising For A Cure Gallery: Fantastic Fords From The Formidable Festival Of Fun

(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – Hang on to something. This article is not Chevy-heavy either. Yeah I know…crazy talk.  This group of images has Fords, Pontiacs, Mercurys, and some Chevy trucks.

Something made me play around with a few images when I prepped them.  Normally I’ll crop a few and that’s the extent of my editing.  A select group got more than that, but nothing real drastic.  I didn’t do any in the first post, but there should be at least one edited image in the rest – including this one.  Try and find them and post what you think I did and be specific.

We don’t get to see a lot of Torinos at events other than the Street Rod Nationals.  I’ve always dug these cars and was pleased to see a few here.  Early Mustangs typically show up in herds at shows like this and we were treated to several including a good number of drop-tops and a cool, 70s style Mustang II.

The Scroungers Car Club showed up in decent numbers representing several chapters.  Many of their cars are in this gallery and scattered through the others as well.  When they commit to supporting an event they really support it.  Their devotion to wrenching, gathering, and road-tripping together is strong.

We’d be ashamed if we didn’t mention that amazing blue & white F100 near the bottom of the gallery. This thing was cleaner than most and just plain cool.  It had a nice lumpy idle as well.  I’ve always had a thing for these trucks and rarely let one get past my camera lens.
