(Photos by Mike Brooks) – We’re back with more Mike Brooks shot 2019 Hot Rod Power Tour photos. These images are awesome because Mike’s a Power Tour veteran at this point and knows the ins and outs of the event. That means he can capture the good stuff and be where he needs to be in order to see it all. Ok, that’s a lie because the damned thing is so big you cannot see it all during one day!
It is incredible to think about where the Power Tour started and where it is now. Inarguably the largest moving hot rodding event in the world, thousands of dedicated troopers follow the whole route while many more thousands come in for the day when this maelstrom of, chrome, steel, and horsepower comes to their local area.
The cars and trucks range from the relatively cool and normal to the stuff that your mom warned you about. Ragged edge hot rods share the space with late model performance cars and everyone gets along, has fun, and kind of braves the adventure together. It’s a study in the fact that these machines that we love are an amazingly strong unifying force that help people bridge gaps that they otherwise would not in their lives. Fun stuff and more to come!
