(Photos and words by Doug Gregory) –This group of images is of stuff not too old, none of it new, and none of it Chevy.  I’ll start off with the lovely Vista Cruiser.  There’s so much about these to like.  One thing I found on this one I hadn’t noticed previously were the sunvisors for the third-row passengers.  Such a thing might just save occupants from dangerous rays passing through the skylight, but at the cost of driver rear visibility.

The cherry red Scamp was super clean and appeared rather sporty with its Cragars, white-letter tires, and bucket seats.  The orange Challenger didn’t really catch our attention due to its bright color.  What got us was the distinct and crisp exhaust sounds filling our ears.  We all appreciate good sounds coming from a powerful and well-tuned engine, but some just seem to hit a note and rhythm that is better than most.  This car has it.  One day I’ll figure out how to get that on one of my projects.

I did not see many early Mustangs there, but there are three of them in here and all are real lookers.  There was a pale yellow coupe that I spotted from a distance as it slipped out during a light sprinkle.
