That’s right, the beloved little Mini called Project Binky is nearing completion and man is this thing going to be cool as hell. The boys have been busy getting it ready for the final few modifications and wiring before it goes into the booth for some paint and body love. There is still some wiring and other stuff to finish, but man this sucker is nearing completion and that has to be exciting for the Bod Obsession Motorsports crew since they have been building this thing for the past few years. It may end up being the most bad ass little Mini ever and the amount of time and fabrication that have gone into it certainly show.

This project has been such an inspiration to me and has made me look at certain fabrication tasks in an entirely different way than ever before. The simple methods for planning and executing this level of fabrication are impressive as the end result looks like something much more complex than its design might hint at. There is no doubt that Nick can make a bracket better than just about anyone, and sometimes that is the hardest job to perform when building something like this Mini.

Project Binky is one of those projects that has set the bar on YouTube and will be talked about for years to come. It’s not done yet though, and we’ll surely have a few more episodes before the test drive footage we are all so excited to see. I hope this thing hauls ass like I expect and that it all just works. There has been so much thought and skill that have gone into this one that it would be disappointing to see any of it not work as planned. I’m excited to see it done even though I don’t want it to end.
