If you haven’t been following along for the build of the Mongrel, you have been missing out! This is the story of a Mazda MX5, aka Miata, that wanted to look cool instead of looking like a chick car. When you take the great handling and performing Miata and swap the body of an English Ford 100 onto it, with big flares and attitude, you end up with something awesome looking that will turn heads and surprise some folks for sure. We can’t wait to see it being flung around a road course, but until then we’re thrilled to see Matt ringing this thing out on the street a little. It sounds epic, looks like it is hauling ass, and seems to be making Matt happy. We would certainly love a shot at flinging this thing sideways for big smiles.

Matts happy with it considering it needs an alignment still, the ecu hasn’t been touched outside of the initial startup tune which is super fat, and there will be a ton more tuning and tweaking to do before it is handing everyone their ass on the race track. There are a few other updates to make, but overall this little car is getting close to being done and that has got to be so satisfying for Matt. I know I’m excited about it!
