When Jason Lewis started this project a few years ago we posted video of him doing the installation of his new Total Control suspension and now it’s time for a first drive! Like most of us, I’m sure Jason wished this project went quicker, but like most of us he’s been building this thing in his own time, on his own dime, and in his own garage. For some reason people always seem to think that is a fast process until they get headlong into one and realize the reality is that building a car takes some time. And truthfully it’s a good thing it does because otherwise none of us would appreciate the damn things once they were done!

And man that first drive is the coolest thing about building a car. Whether it goes perfect or not, the feeling of being behind the wheel that first time will put a smile on anyone’s face. It is sort of like the first time you start a new engine up in your hot rod, and man does that feel good.
