Is This The Most Dangerous Road In America? Scott Speed VS THE DRAGON

So let’s just get one thing straight, this video is BAD ASS! Take a Subaru WRX rally car and send it through the 318 curves that make up the 11-mile Dragon in Tennessee. You’ll hear a lot of people talk about running the Tail of the Dragon on motorcycles and cars, which folks do each and every weekend. This is one of the gnarliest roads on the planet as far as corners and fun level and we know folks who regularly traverse it in their hot rods, exotics, Pro-Touring, and Pro Luxury machines.

In this video the gang at Red Bull wants you to know how crazy the road is and claims it to be one of the most dangerous in the world. Watching Scott Speed haul ass on it makes you have a lot of respect for it, that’s for sure, and I don’t think there are many folks who have been down it at this rate.

I have zero clue on how many crashes, deaths, etc happen each year on it, but I can tell you that if you don’t pay attention then this one certainly could bite you.

With that said, you should go hit it in your own ride, because you’d enjoy the hell out of it.

Video Description:

Scott Speed takes on America’s most twisted road: THE DRAGON. Cutting through the mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina’s state line, this portion of the US 129 might make it one of the most dangerous roads stretching across 11 miles with 318 curves.

Nice of them to get the permitting and all to have the road closed for that video.
Now. If any of you tools actually does decide to run the Dragon with either a car or motorcycle, don’t be a dick. Keep it in your lane, right of center, and don’t push 10/10ths like many of my fellow motorcyclists with more bike than skill try to do. Be sensible, have fun, don’t wreck and cause the place to get shut down while they airlift your sorry ass out of there, holding up other traffic for hours…

I’d love to run that on my Ducati, but listening to some of the folks that have run it or live in the area it doesn’t sound like fun. Lots of serious wrecks. Oh and the semi’s that aren’t supposed to be anywhere near that stretch of road.

I did it about 15 years ago in a Freightliner FLD pulling a 53 foot dry van to the OMC plant at the south end .

Stay in your goddammit own lane!! Thus video isn’t really that impressive just a video editing job to ompress the the weak. Did this road every day for a week 6 years ago amazing if u cross the centerline on any public road you are simply a douchebag. So this guy took a road with 318 tuns and turned it into under 150 by doing a race line down tgf middle
