FINDING OUT WHY FINNEGAN’S LT4-SWAPPED ’67 CHEVY C10 BROKE AND HOW HE’S GETTING IT READY TO RACE FREIBURGER.

In a recent video Finnegan was out doing 6th gear burnouts in his sequentially shifted C10 truck and unfortunately he killed the clutch. Now he’s got to have it up and running for a showdown with Freiburger and his Muscle Truck for an episode of Roadkill. So was the clutch issue Finnegan’s fault? Watch and find out what happened and how they fixed it.

Video Description:

Episode 135 of Mike Finnegan’s Garage takes us back into the basement as I fix several things on my Chevy C10 to get it ready for an upcoming Roadkill episode. First off, during a pretty rowdy burnout session, I destroyed the clutch so that needs replacing. The question is why? We’ll answer it with help from Geoff Gerko from Mantic Clutches. Mantic clutches are assembled right here in America and my new clutch still has twin discs and ceremetallic material, but this time we went with solid hubs instead of sprung hubs. And also, we are re-using my old flywheel because we didnt have the correct eight-bolt flyhweel for my LT4. Want more information about Mantic Clutches? Go here: https://manticclutchusa.com

We are also going inspect the inside of the 6xd billet sequential gearbox. Mainly, we are doing this because I wanted to replace Sixth Gear with something that offers a lower cruising speed (numerically lower, but a higher gear ratio) for highway driving. Rick Lamber from RTS/6XD had the gearbox disassembled, re-geared, and put back together in about an hour. Want more information on this awesome transmission? Go here: https://6xdgearbox.com
