Is A Classic Fiat 500 The Perfect In Town Car For An Electric Conversion?

Is A Classic Fiat 500 The Perfect In Town Car For An Electric Conversion?

There are a lot of little European cars from the 1950s through 1970s, and even into the 1980s that are super small and featured engines that made WAY less than 100 horsepower. So while they are cool, they will never be hot rods so why not make them be a fun little cruiser and why not convert one of them to electric power to use for in-town travel if you live in the city? They are little so they can park anywhere, and if they just plug in at night then you’d never have to worry about getting fuel for them.

I kinda dig the idea and have seen several VW Beetles that are EV swapped, but this is the first Fiat 500 I’ve seen. This kit here is pretty cool though, so check out the conversion from Electric Classic Cars.

Video Description:

Here’s a walkaround of our popular electric Fiat 500 and our bolt-in kit which we use. It includes a 15kWh Tesla battery pack and a small little motor that is capable of pushing out 47hp. A package that makes this little electric car the perfect city car.
