Newbern is always up for an adventure, and has got the same happy go lucky attitude that I try to have when making a road trip, but sometimes we’re our own worst enemies. I mean who thinks that picking up a new, untested ride, and then driving it cross country for a court date is a good idea? If you have your hand up right now, you are our kind of people. And that’s exactly what Dave did recently when he acquired a new to him project that has been sitting in storage for a long time after a stint on Hot Rod Garage. What could possibly go wrong?

On this episode, I purchase the C5 corvette that was used on Hot Rod Garage. I didn’t know anything about it and had never even heard it run until the day I picked it up. I also bought a small trailer that I’m going to use for Drag Week. So, why not install a hitch on the corvette and drag it home at the same time. I have to get from California to Biloxi, Mississippi for a court date regarding a ticket I got during Cruisin’ the Coast back in October. I only have four days to get there. I encounter several issues along the way. The car had incorrect length pushrods and then I managed to hit a coyote and drag it for two hours. This was the trip from hell.
