(By Tom Lohnes) – The Bugatti Chrion truly is a masterpiece. With 1500 horsepower, limitless customization, and an eye-watering price tag to go along with it, this French beast has had surprisingly great reliability for something with 16 cylinders. Well that remains true but Bugatti has issued a recall for all of their billionaire customers to watch out for.

Out of all 500 Chirons on the planet, 60 owners of the ultra-special Pur Sport version have been notified that their car has been recalled. The reason for this? Well, not the super complicated engine, nor the transmission, or any mechanical components. This absolute beast of a car pulls so many g’s off the line and through corners that the 345-millimeter-wide tires start to crack. Bugatti has noticed this and is currently developing a new tire, but until then they will replace the set, which is nearly $25,000 a tire, for free.

So, if you are lucky (and rich) enough to afford a Chrion Pur Sport, don’t drive too hard. Good thing these things are all being bought and put away in a museum, because one track day could cause some problems.
