(Photos by Joe Grippo) – We promised that we would be back with more photos from the 2017 Chrysler Carlisle Nationals and here we are! You know, over the years Chrysler has had their problems but they have always provided the most interesting domestic cars pound for pound over everyone else. From the muscle car era to today, you cannot ever say that the company was too conservative or never took a risk. Do you think the Corvettes would be as good as they are without the Viper? The company completely revolutionized truck styling with their Rams and the huge grille “big rig” styling of the 1990s is still the staple in the industry today. No, they have not done a good job with the small cars since the K-platform, which whether you laugh or not was an astoundingly successful foundation for the company that lasted a very, very long time. But none of this is the point.
The point is that the Chrysler faithful came out to Carlisle to celebrate among themselves and their fans and did so in fine style. 2,700 cars, tens of thousands of people and many great memories made. Shows like this are important to affirm the history and the legacy of the different brands and the lovers of Mopars are not going anywhere soon.
Thanks to Joe Grippo for the photos and thanks to everyone who showed up and displayed their stuff!
