This is one of the wildest, weirdest, and ugliest videos we have ever seen. Reportedly the story is that the driver’s angry girlfriend pulled the handbrake in the VW in an effort to stop the driver from racing a motorcycle down a highway. The whole scene is terrible in the sense that these guys are driving in a criminally bad fashion on a busy road but it gets really, really bad when you see the rear tires lock up and the car suffer a horrible wreck.

Pulling the e-brake handle is fun stuff at low speeds. You can slide and skid around, drift cars that otherwise are incapable, and generally have a ball. Ripping the hand break up to the fully engaged position at high speed is a really, really, bad idea as anyone with an ounce of sense knows. In a blind rage, this person either did not know, had no other way to slow the situation down, or knew all of the above and just did it anyway.

You’ll see the rear tires lock, the car make an odd move, and then the thing just darts to the left, climbs the concrete barriers and goes into a barrel roll for the ages. We have no details other than the whole thing was supposed to have happened in Mexico. We have no idea if the people made it out OK, bought the farm, or were injured in any way. We hope they were not hurt but this may be the most unbelievable “street racing” video we have ever seen. Hell, we’re not even sure the story is accurate but when you see what the car does and how the car does it, the cause certainly makes sense.
